Let me first start by saying...
I would like to start this by first saying... I am NOT a Registered Dietitian and I am NOT studying to be one because I have no desire to get into Medical Nutrition Therapy. I plan on finding one or two good RD's to work with and refer people to in the cases that are outside my scope of practice such as... Giving nutrition advice for health problems such as diabetes, heart disease, liver dysfunction, kidney stones, etc. Also outside of my scope of practice is giving advice for eating disorders such as anorexia and bulimia. My desire is to help people learn how to eat right forever, for Life, so that eating healthy becomes habit and just the way it is.. To help with basic nutrition to aid in a healthy body composition( Fat loss versus Weight loss), better everyday performance (increase in energy!) and to help take preventative health measures ( I believe preventive medicine is The best medicine).
No matter how hard you work out, if you don't fuel your body correctly, you won't lose the fat and build the muscle.
I will help you make and set small attainable goals that will become habit before moving on to bigger more challenging changes. THAT is how you will make your lifestyle changes. NOT the new fad "diet", not the old-been-around-forever "diet", but the small steady changes made to Your diet. I use to hate that word but I no longer use it in "that" context because diet actually is- a : food and drink regularly provided or consumed b : habitual nourishment. So you see... Diet is actually NOT a dirty word when used correctly :)
