Fitness for ALL!
I go through a process with every new personal training client and that process is normally completed in 2 meetings( However, if you are not brand new to exercise and Seriously ready to get the ball rolling, we can get going at the end of our first meeting). I do not typically just jump in and start for a few reasons, but one of my main reasons is, I want YOU to WANT this. I don't want you to come to me because your significant other or sibling or child or friend or anyone OTHER than your doctor, telling you that you need to or you should. I have known people on self-destructive paths and I have seen that no matter how bad the friends, family, loved ones, want change, it ultimately won't come for good until the person themselves get sick and tired of the path they're on or until they hit rock bottom. I don't want to be the trainer who takes your money, slaps you on a treadmill and puts you through a few exercises.
I want more.
I want you to want more.
At our first meeting( which is always and completely Free! and can be done by phone if you prefer ) we'll go over your past and recent injuries, illnesses and surgeries. Your goals, current nutrition ( I like to see a food journal of what you typically eat for 3-5 days, but it's not necessary ), hobbies, habits, stress, sleep and such and we'll find out if you may need a physician's release for exercise or not and IF you do, you get a note from your doctor and bring it with you to....
...Our second meeting where I like to get all of your measurements( this is optional and completely up to you) , including resting heart rate, blood pressure, weight, BMI, body fat %, circumference measurements, and a photo. I want to watch ALL of your numbers, not just the one on the scale. You could be losing body fat and gaining muscle and that number may move very little or not at all, but your changes will show everywhere else. I'd like to repeat this process every month or so until we're happy with most all of those numbers, if not all of them!
It is after this, at our second meeting, that we train you for the first time. You'll get a great workout and at the same time, I will be determining Your personal physical fitness base line and your workouts from this point on will be a progression to help getting you that much closer to your goals.
